1. Overview
EventMobi integrates with Swoogo via an API connection that allows session and people data (such as speakers and attendees) to sync between the two platforms. This deep integration helps automate data transfer, improving workflow efficiency and data accuracy.
2. Data Points Included in the Integration
The following data points can be synced between Swoogo and EventMobi:- Attendee Data
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address
- Company
- Job Title
- Additional Fields
- People Groups
- Speaker Data
- Session Data
3. Generating an API Key with EventMobi
To create an API key for integration with Swoogo, follow these steps:

Navigate to your Experience Organization Overview in EventMobi.

Select the Integrations tab.

Click Add API Key.

In the pop-up window, choose an Organizer who will receive the API details.

Click Generate API Key.
Important Notes:

Each organizer can only generate one API key at a time for a given Experience Organization.

Once generated, the API key must be added to Swoogo to enable the data sync.
4. Integration Setup via Swoogo
Account-Level Setup
To enable the integration on the Swoogo side:
- Navigate to Account Hub.
- Scroll down to API & Integrations and click Integrations.
- Select EventMobi.
- Click + Add API Key.
- Enter a Name and paste the API Key generated in EventMobi under General Settings.
- Click Save.
Next, you will want to enable the integration on your specific event.
Note: If you manage multiple clients (e.g., an agency), you may need to store multiple API keys. Ensure that you use the correct API key for each client.
Event-Level Setup
To enable the integration for a specific event in Swoogo:
- Navigate to the event and go to Event Setup > Integrations.
- Select EventMobi.
- Choose the EventMobi API Key and the Event to connect with Swoogo under Link Event.
- Check the data points you want to sync (Registrations, Speakers, and/or Sessions). Once enabled, progress bars will indicate the sync status for Registrations, Speakers and/or Sessions.
- Map the attendee fields under People Field Mapping. If needed, click Retrieve Fields from EventMobi to add more fields.
- Click Save.
Note: Profile pictures can only be mapped using Swoogo’s default Profile Picture field. Custom fields are not supported for this mapping.
5. Configuring People Groups
- People Groups in EventMobi help manage attendee access and app interactions by allowing you to send targeted announcements and can control the visibility of specific sections.
- People Groups are created and managed in EventMobi's Experience Manager, but can be retrieved in Swoogo using the Retrieve People Groups from EventMobi button. To learn how to set up People Groups in Experience Manager, please visit this article.
- In addition, Swoogo's conditional logic can be used to assign registrants to specific people groups.
