Why Are Some Parts Of My Live Display Cut Off?

If you find that your Live Display has some content in it that is cut off from the screen when you display it on a TV or a monitor, it may be due to a setting built into most TVs typically called “overscanning”.

Some TVs zoom in slightly to avoid displaying some extra information at the edges of a screen that may be present during television broadcasts. In the case of Live Displays, it may show less than the full 16:9 aspect ratio of your Live Display.

Although this setting is usually on by default on your screen, you can correct in your TV settings. The specific menu option may be labelled “Size”, “Aspect Ratio”, “Screen Fit”, or something similar. Once you’ve found it, you can change it to fit the entire Live Display within the dimensions of your TV screen so that all of the content is visible.
