Setting Up an Integration with Growth Zone

Connecting your GrowthZone event to EventMobi automatically transfers new registrants and registration details into your EventMobi event. This eliminates manual data entry and ensures your attendee list stays accurate and up to date. New to Integration Hub? What to Know Before You Start

API Limitations

Depending on your GrowthZone license tier, you may have different API call limits. When you reach the limit, the syncing may be interrupted. Please make sure you check your API limits with your GrowthZone representative. At EventMobi, we make API calls at a 1-minute interval. This means 1,440 calls per day.

Understanding GrowthZone Data Types

  • Contacts: Every individual in your database is a Contact. This is the central profile that houses member and non-member details consistently across your organization.
  • Event Registrations: This is the event-specific record tied to a Contact. By default, the EventMobi integration maps the event registrant data to ensure the correct people are pulled into your specific EventMobi event.
⚙️ Setting Up the Integration

1.Install the Solution in Integration Hub:

Head to Experience Manager, then install the Integration Hub and find the GrowthZone → EventMobi solution.

2.Install the Scenarios:

The GrowthZone connection has one primary scenario, Add or update attendees from GrowthZone to EventMobi, that covers both add and update attendee workflows.

To install, click Install next to the scenario.

3.Grant EventMobi Access to GrowthZone:

Click Grant Access to open the configuration screen. Give your connection a name (anything that helps you recognize the GrowthZone account you’re connecting to) and paste in your GrowthZone Client ID and Client Secret.

To find your API credentials:

  1. Log in to your GrowthZone account as an Administrator.

  2. Go to Setup > Integrations (or Third-Party Apps) > API Access.

  3. Click to create a new API key or integration connection.

  4. Name the integration (e.g., "EventMobi Integration").

  5. Grant the necessary permissions for Contacts and Events (we recommend enabling "Select All" for a quicker and more holistic setup).

  6. Save to generate and copy your Client ID and Client Secret.

Finish setting up the connection by putting the Client ID and Client Secret in the Create a connection to GrowthZone screen in EventMobi. Click Continue to finalize the link.

4.Map your fields:

Now that your GrowthZone connection is in place, the next step is to tell the Integration Hub how to match data between GrowthZone and EventMobi. This process is called field mapping, and it’s key to making sure everything shows up where it should.

To start, select the GrowthZone event you wish to connect to EventMobi by selecting Event ID and choosing your specific event from the dropdown.

Next select Create a New Person. Some standard fields like First Name, Last Name, External ID, Email, Title, Company, and About are automatically mapped for you.

To map other standard or custom fields:

  1. Find the EventMobi field in the list.

  2. Click on it to open the dropdown.

  3. Select the matching GrowthZone field.

You only need to map the fields you actually need for your event. If there are fields in GrowthZone you’re not planning to use in EventMobi, you can skip them. Once you have configured it for the step “Create a New Person,” you can repeat the same step for “Update a Person.”

ℹ️ Note: In the scenario, an additional step called Search a Person is there to help the system recognize if an attendee has already existed in EventMobi. If not, the integration will create a new person. If yes, the system will update the attendee information based on the new data from GrowthZone. This is automatically configured.

5.Go Live:

Click Start to activate your integration. This will turn on the automation and begin syncing new registrants from GrowthZone to your EventMobi event.

Once the automation is activated, you can find it in the My Installations tab.

6.Test Your Integration:

It is a good idea to run a quick test to make sure everything is syncing as expected.

  1. Go to your GrowthZone registration page and add an attendee using a unique test email.

  2. Wait for the integration to run (usually a minute).

  3. In EventMobi, navigate to People LibraryAttendees.

  4. Search for your test record to confirm the import.
