Setting Up an Integration from Jotform to EventMobi

Using Jotform as your registration or "Call for Speakers" tool is a great choice for flexibility. By connecting it to the Integration Hub, you ensure that every form submission instantly populates your EventMobi People library without the need for manual CSV imports.

What to Know Before You Start

  • Trigger Event: The automation triggers whenever a New Submission is received on a specific Jotform.

  • Email Uniqueness: Just like other integrations, the Hub uses the email address to check if the person already exists in EventMobi to avoid duplicates.

  • Webhook Requirement: Jotform integrations often use a Webhook (a digital handshake) that the Hub sets up automatically to "listen" for new entries.

     

     


⚙️ Setting Up the Integration

1. Install the Solution

Go to the Integration Hub in Experience Manager, search for the Jotform → EventMobi solution, and click Install.

2. Install the Scenario

Select the scenario labeled Create/Update EventMobi Attendee from Jotform Submission and click Install.

3. Connect Your Jotform Account

  1. Click Grant Access.

  2. Log in to your Jotform account when the popup appears.

  3. Permissions: Ensure you grant "Full Access" so the Hub can see your forms and their submission data.

  4. Select Form: Choose the specific form you want to sync (e.g., "Annual Gala Registration").

4. Map Your Fields

Because Jotform fields are fully customizable, you’ll need to manually link your form questions to EventMobi fields.

  • Standard Fields:

    • Full Name (First)First Name

    • Full Name (Last)Last Name

    • EmailEmail

  • Company/Org: If you have a "Company" field on your form, map it to the Company field in EventMobi.

[!TIP] Matching Data Types: Ensure your Jotform "Email" field is a standard Email element (not a short text box). This helps the Integration Hub validate the data correctly before sending it to EventMobi.

5. Go Live

Toggle the scenario to Start. The Hub will now wait for the next person to hit "Submit" on your Jotform.


🧪 Test Your Integration

To make sure your form is "talking" to your event app:

  1. Submit the Form: Open your Jotform in a new tab and fill it out as a test user.

  2. Check the Hub: In the Integration Hub, go to the History tab. You should see a success log within a few seconds.

  3. Check EventMobi: Refresh your People library in Experience Manager. Your test entry should be there with all mapped details.
