Where To Get Started

There are several templates to consider based on the type of event the website will be built for as a framework to get started. You may also opt to choose a blank template and completely customize on your own.  

To view the different options, please view within Experience Manager under Website < My Pages < Add Page < then select Preview for the template.

Build Essentials - What Will I Need To Build a Website?

Creating a great website begins with a solid foundation and the essential building blocks. Each element works together to bring your website to life and ensure it performs at its best.

Below are suggested design elements to help you get started.

  • Branding & Visual Identity - Logo files, brand colors
  • Images & Media - Background images or textures, Stock photos – Images relevant to the event, speakers or company photos 
  • Content & Copy - Text/Titles for key section highlights, about pages, and other essential section information.

What Are The Recommended Sizes For The Website Graphics?

End to End Banner Image: Width: 1920, Height: 720px for Hero Banner, or 1080px for Lightbox Fullscreen

Event Logo: keep under 300px wide

Background Image: 2560 x 1400px

Content Image: 800-1200px wide

Supported File Types:

JPEG: great for photos
PNG: best used for logos and content images (head shots, icons etc)
GIF: suitable for simple animations
SVG, AI, or EPS: logos (lossless vector), icons, high resolution graphics, editable graphics

What To Include On Your Website

2.  Body Section - Key Details About The Event

  • Date and Time – For events, deadlines, or access windows
  • Location – Physical venue or virtual (with links, if applicable)
  • Deadline – Registration deadline

3. Key Event Information

  • Speaker Information / Sponsor Exposure
  • List of speakers, instructors, or hosts (with bios & photos)
  • Ticket guide

 

4.  General Overview of Agenda

High-level summary of the key activities, sessions, or topics that will take place during an event. It gives attendees a quick snapshot of what to expect, when things will happen, and how the event is structured—without diving into full session details.

5. Call To Action Button / Promo Video

A call-to-action button helps guide visitors toward the next step, making it easier to convert interest into action. A video captures attention, builds trust, and clearly explains your message, keeping people engaged longer.
